The 'Gospel' According to St. Peter
This may not actually exist in written documents, but no doubt
Peter has his take on everything. www.BiblicalActor.com
began as a one-man, one act Christian drama performed by Mac McConnell, on the life and
times of Jesus through the eyes of the best know disciple. Best know perhaps for his foot
in the mouth disease. But that was what made him so appealing to Mac and to most
Christians particularly with any who struggle with their Christian walk.
The 'Gospel' According to St. Peter is packed
with the Gospel, packed with surprises, packed with
humor and packed with the Passion of Christ. There is only one
performer but 7 characters to bring new life to the ageless truth.
In Act I this passionate Christian drama highlights the
three-year ministry of the Christ with insightful perspectives from the fisherman. You
will feel Simons shock when Jesus fills his net. You will be shocked as plain old
water turns to brilliant red wine. You will even laugh out loud at Simons pitiful
attempt to walk on water. You will be reminded of the power of the Sermon on the mount and
you will be moved to desperation as Jesus tells the disciples, I must go to
Jerusalem, be handed over and will be killed.
In Act II of The 'Gospel' According to St. Peter centers
on Passion Week in the holy city. The drama that unfolds is at the heart of Christian
belief. Witness the heated confrontation with the Pharisees, join the disciples in the
upper room, experience the slam of each nail on the cross and hold your breath as a demon
from the pit of hell rejoices in the battle between good and evil. The climax of the
resurrection gives way to restoration as Simon recalls his denial.
